Soon after crossing the Mercury NDB in the Secret Shuttle mission, you'll see a large UFO flying straight at you. Don't worry, it won't hit you. Although it does manage to disrupt your radio communications for a little while.
The reward will be yours as soon as it flies past you, just land at Area 51 to receive it.
