This reward is for landing on the aircraft carrier after your engine quits in the Catalina Day Spa mission. You may have already noticed the aircraft carrier and its two escorts in the ocean below. If not, now would be a good time to find them. They should be off to your right after your engine goes out, headed west. The carrier's traveling at 15-20 knots, making it very difficult to approach and land from the front. Your best hope is to turn around behind it, then fly a slightly steep approach. If you don't have enough altitude, you'll never make it. It takes a while to catch up from behind, so be prepared to lose a lot of altitude, depending on how far away you made your turn to final. Unless you're really high, you don't want to make that turn any farther than 3/4 of a mile or so behind it. After many attempts, the only way I was ever able to stop in time was by making a hard landing and collapsing the nose gear. You'll stop extremely fast that way.
To get this reward, it doesn't matter whether or not your engine is running. If you want to, you can resart your engine by turning the fuel boost pump on (press SHIFT+7 then turn fuel boost to ON). That should make it easier to line up with the carrier.
