Ceremonial Mask

Reward: Knighthood

Difficulty: Intermediate

Estimated Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

This reward is for completing optional follow-on mission in the Tokyo Executive Transport mission. After taking off and landing on the roof-top heliport (which may take a couple tries), you'll fly your passengers to Narita Airport. Your copilot will instruct you to land to the right of the company Learjet, and your passengers will board the Challenger to your right. At this point, make sure you save the mission. It's about to get a little more exciting.

You find out that your copliot is really a British Secret Agent and he needs you to follow the Challenger with your company Learjet. If you turn him down, the mission is over with no reward. If you accept, he'll clear you for takeoff and instruct you to stay 2 or 3 miles behind your target. (You might be able to get closer safely). Now would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the Lear's autopilot. After establishing a good distance behind the Challenger, set the speed hold to 255 knots and the altitude hold to 2000 feet. You should use the mission compass to establish and maintain the proper heading, as the Challenger does turn every once in a while.

After what seems like forever, the Challenger will turn east and dive to 300 feet above the water. You can leave the autopilot on and settle in behind him again. Before too long, a Russian Ekranoplan will come up and pass you from behind. He's probably doing about 400+ knots. About 5 minutes later, a large rock formation should begin to appear in the distance. Soon after, the Challenger slows to 150 knots and turns right. You should slow down and try to follow him. He'll eventually turn 180 degrees left and enter a "valley" or clearing through the rocks. When you make that turn, drop your gear and flaps and enter a shallow descent from about 700 feet. You should see the Challenger continue straight ahead, going between two rocks that seem almost too close to pass through. A moment later, he goes under a rainbow shaped rock!

Rock Walls

When your turn comes, stay right down the middle and you'll do fine. Try to set the Lear down as close to the beginning of the runway as possible. With maximum brakes, spoilers, and reverse thrust you'll barely stop in time. Come to a complete stop (without falling off the edge) and receive your medal.
