Reward: Wings vs Wheels Race

This reward is for winning the race in the Jet Truck Drag Race mission. If you don't win, you don't get the reward. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to go about the approach, but here's what I did.
Don't takeoff with Patty. Wait until the clock reaches 2 minutes then apply full power and takeoff, flying level down the runway. When you reach the end of the runway, pitch up to 20 degrees (still with full power) and stay there until the clock reaches 37 seconds. As soon as the clock reaches 37 seconds, make a hard left turn back to the runway. You may have to pull the power back slightly to keep your speed below the red line as you descend. DO NOT cross the start line until the clock has reached zero. As soon as you do cross, slowly pull out of the dive so you don't lose too much speed and keep the throttle fire-walled. If you still have some altitude left you can descend a little to get some more speed, but be careful not to fly directly in front of the truck, as this will disqualify you.
If you're successful, you'll hear the announcer say the Extra 300 won. Continue to fly straight for a little longer, then turn hard right and land on the closed runway. If you didn't win, try again. It took me many attempts.
